About Celestialbody
§ 02A celestial body is any natural body outside of the Earth's atmosphere, such as the Moon, the Sun, an asteroid, a planet, or the Galaxy. The Greek-derived term celestial comes from the Late Latin caelestis (heavenly). In Hebrew, a celestial body is referred to as גוף שמימי (gouf shimimi). In Spanish, it is known as cuerpo celeste, in French as corps céleste, and in German as Himmelskörper. Celestial bodies are often studied in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics, and their properties, such as luminosity, density, and composition, can vary widely. These bodies are integral to understanding the structure and dynamics of the universe, including the formation and evolution of galaxies, star systems, and planetary systems.
