Creation myth

A creation story, also known as a cosmogony (from the Greek kosmos, "world", and gonos, "birth"), is a symbolic narrative of how the world began and how people first came to inhabit it. These stories are found in many cultures and are often deeply tied to the cultural, religious, and philosophical beliefs of a society. In Hebrew, a creation story may be referred to as סיפור הבריאה (Sipur Ha'Beriyah). In Arabic, it is known as قصة الخلق (Qissat Al-Khalq), and in French, it is called récit de la création. These narratives often explain the origin of the universe, the Earth, life, and humanity, and may involve deities, supernatural beings, or natural phenomena. They serve not only to explain the physical world but also to convey moral lessons, cultural values, and the relationship between humans and the divine or natural world.
