About Lunar Mansion Astrology

§ 02

Lunar mansion astrology, also known as Nakshatra astrology in Sanskrit (Hebrew: אסטרולוגיה של בתי הירח), is a branch of Vedic astrology that focuses on the 27 (or sometimes 28) lunar mansions or Nakshatras. These mansions are the divisions of the sky that the Moon passes through in its monthly cycle. Each Nakshatra spans approximately 13°20' of the zodiac and is associated with specific deities, symbols, and qualities. In Arabic, this concept is referred to as Manazil al-Qamar (منازل القمر), and in Chinese, it is known as Xingguan (星宿). Lunar mansion astrology is used to determine auspicious times for events, understand an individual's personality traits, and predict future events based on the Moon's position and the specific mansion it occupies. This system is deeply rooted in ancient Indian, Arabic, and Chinese astrological traditions and continues to be practiced in various forms today.
