Orun

Orun is a Yoruba word that translates to "heaven" or "sky" in English. In Yoruba cosmology, Orun (also spelled Orùn) is one of the two realms of existence, the other being Aiye (the earth or the world of the living). Orun is considered the abode of the gods (Orisa) and the ancestors, and it is believed to be a spiritual realm that influences the physical world. The concept of Orun is central to Yoruba religious and philosophical beliefs, which have significantly influenced various Afro-diasporic religions such as Candomblé, Santería, and Lucumí. In Hebrew, the closest translation for Orun would be שמים (Shamayim), which means "heaven" or "sky." In Spanish, it can be translated as cielo, and in French, it is ciel.
