Pan

Pan is a term that can refer to several different concepts depending on the context. In Greek mythology, Pan (Greek: Πάν, Pán) is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature, and hunting. He is often depicted as having the upper body and legs of a human, with the horns, legs, and tail of a goat. In music, a pan is a shallow, wide, and open vessel used to hold or mix ingredients, often made of metal. The term can also refer to a pan flute, a musical instrument consisting of multiple pipes of gradually increasing length. Additionally, "pan" can be a short form of the word "pandemic," referring to an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and affects a large proportion of the population. In Hebrew, the word for "pan" as in a cooking vessel is מַסּוֹרָה (massorah), while the term for the god Pan is פַּן (Pan). In Spanish, "pan" translates to "bread," while in French, it can mean both "bread" and a shallow cooking pan.
