About Prophetic Visions

§ 02

Prophetic visions refer to supernatural experiences in which an individual perceives information or events beyond the ordinary senses, often believed to be of divine or spiritual origin. These visions are typically described as vivid, symbolic, or allegorical, and are often interpreted as messages or revelations from a higher power. In Hebrew, the term can be translated as חזיונות נבואיים (khazionot n'vu'iyim). In Arabic, it is known as الرويات النبوية (al-ru'ya al-nabawiyya), and in Greek, it is referred to as προφητικές οράσεις (profētikés orásēs). Prophetic visions are a common theme in many religious traditions, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and various indigenous spiritual practices. They often play a significant role in the lives of prophets, mystics, and spiritual leaders, serving as a means of guidance, warning, or revelation. Throughout history, these visions have been recorded in sacred texts, such as the Bible and the Quran, and have influenced religious beliefs, practices, and interpretations.
